Try a Mr Smith tart – a green apple tart from Patisserie Philippe Rigollot, voted World’s Best Pastry Chef. 1 Place Georges Volland Cheesy does it: Third generation cheese masters the Dubouloz family are famous for their cheeses and Jacques Dubouloz holds a Meilleur Ouvrier de France award. Find their cheeses at the market where they’ve had a stall since 1950 or at their store Crèmerie de Marches in Poisy, a suburb of Annecy. Ice, ice baby: Though there’s a ton of choice, they like their ice cream in Annecy, Glacier des Alpes is pretty unbeatable.
